Toy Borrowing Agreement - Family Membership
The family must complete a membership form and pay the fee (annual or termly) before borrowing toys.
Parents / carers are responsible for supervising children with Toy Library toys while they are at home.
You may borrow up to 2 toys for up to 2 weeks at a time. If you are unable to return your toys within this period, please message us via Facebook or email to let us know.
Parents / carers are responsible for selecting appropriate toys and resources for their children taking into account their age and / or stage of development, and for supervising children with Toy Library items while they are at home. The Toy Library is not accountable for any accident or injury that may occur with resources borrowed by members.
We aim to make sure that all our toys are in boxes or bags with pictures and lists of contents to help you return all parts and items. Please return toys in the box / bag provided and in a clean and orderly state.
If you discover any broken or missing pieces in any toy or resource that you borrow please let us know as soon as possible or upon returning the toy.
If any toys are lost or broken whilst you are borrowing them please let us know as soon as possible. We understand that toys will be subject to wear and tear and that sometimes things go missing. We will make a note on your borrowing log to help us to keep track of items. In exceptional circumstances you may be asked to contribute towards repairs or replacements. In exceptional cases where toys are repeatedly lost and / or broken HKTL reserve the right to terminate or not to renew a membership.
Your family membership entitles you to one large loan of more items. Please ask the Toy Library team if you would like help choosing items for a party or event. Family membership also includes free hire of our Party Pack of reusable tableware.
We will use your email address to send communications from Harrogate & Knaresborough Toy Library only. By signing this agreement, you are giving consent for your details to be held securely by HKTL’s Committee and staff. Personal details will not be shared or be given access to by any other persons. You have the right to amend your personal details at any time. All personal details relating to your membership will be destroyed when your membership expires.
Summer Sign up offer - Sign up between 19/07/23 and 31/08/23 and receive 1 month free (13 months membership for the price of 12). Valid to brand new members or returning members with lapsed membership. Valid for all types of membership.
Refer a friend offer - Receive 1 month free on your membership when you refer a friend that mentions you on their sign up form. Offer available to all existing members who hold a fully paid membership at the time that the new member signs up. Only one existing member can be mentioned per new sign up. There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make (unlimited extra free months for existing members).
