More membership options
We’ve reviewed our memberships to make them fairer and more flexible for everyone.
We’re moving away from Family (£40) and Group (£70) memberships. Instead, you can now choose how many toys you’d like to borrow with 2, 4 and 6 toy membership options.
This lets you pick the level that suits your family or group, whether you borrow a few toys or lots of equipment.
Most members have already been moved to the right membership. A few will be updated manually and will get an email before we restart their membership. Once everyone’s on the new structure, you’ll be able to renew your membership yourself near the end of your term.
You can change membership tier at any time. If you upgrade, you can just pay the pro‑rata difference and borrow the extra toys straight away. If you downgrade, we’ll convert the difference into extra membership time.
Email handktoylibrary@gmail.com if you would like to switch now. If you prefer to change tier at the end of your term, you’ll need to wait until your current membership fully expires before buying a new one.

Sling Library expands!
We now have 2 fully trained fitters and will be running sling and carrier appointments twice a week from Wednesday 15th April!
We have over 20+ slings and carriers for families in Knaresborough and surrounding areas to borrow. Whether you are new to babywearing, unsure about safe fitting, want to try out different brands or would like to borrow for a holiday or day out - we have so many sling and carrier options for a range of ages, body types, activities and styles!

Summer Raffle is LIVE!
Our Big Summer FUNdraiser has returned for it’s second year - an amazing raffle full of family friendly prizes! We have a fabulous array of vouchers from local businesses and attractions, all waiting to be enjoyed over the summer and beyond!

The raffle is open to anyone 18 years or over
Tickets must be purchased online at Raffle - Harrogate & Knaresborough Toy Library Big Summer FUNdraiser 2025
Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete or unpaid for
To enter fill in your details as directed on the web page and make the appropriate payment
Tickets are £1 each (minimum purchase 1 ticket per person, maximum purchase 50 tickets per person)
A maximum of 5000 tickets are available
The People’s Fundraising will send verification of each ticket purchased to the email address provided by the purchaser
All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw which will take place on 11 July 2025 at 12pm
The draw will be automatically carried out by The People’s Fundraising
All winners will be automatically notified of their prize to the email address provided by the purchaser

Winners must acknowledge their raffle win within 14 days notification, to receive their prize voucher
If the prize is not acknowledged after this time, it will lapse, and Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected from remaining entries using a random number generator (undertaken by a trustee of the charity and in the presence of a witness)
Winners must contact the applicable prize donor to arrange the timing of their experience and abide by the terms and conditions of the prize donor
Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the raffle
By entering this prize draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library for the purposes of the administration of this prize draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented
Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions or has acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or unjust to other entrants including, without limitation, tampering with the operation of the prize draw, manipulating ticket sales, hacking, deceiving or cheating
By entering the raffle each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions
The promoter is Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library (Registered Charity: 1041320) - registered by the Council of North Yorkshire for the purposes of Regulation 3(1)(a) of the Small Lotteries Society (Registration of Non-Commercial Societies) Regulations 2007

Lend Engine is Launched!
After months of hard work behind the scenes we are very excited to launch our brand new borrowing platform Lend Engine.
The platform allows easy browsing of our entire collection with the ability to see availability and reserve items in real time. Memberships and payments are processed online via Stripe, with each member having their own secure account to manage their toy borrows.
We hope that this step will make the borrowing process more user friendly for our members and free up our team to focus more time on sustaining our wonderful charity for the future!
