How you can help us …
Toy donations
We are incredibly grateful for offers of toy donations - they help us keep our collection fresh, sustainable and accessible for local families. To ensure our toy library remains high quality, safe and long lasting, we carefully select the items we accept. As space is limited, we’re unable to accept everything offered and may politely decline items that don’t fit our current needs.
We welcome:
Wooden toys and open ended play resources
Role play sets
Small world sets, figures, vehicles and animals
Items that help aid development (fine motor, number recognition etc)
Children’s dressing up
Complete puzzles and games
Baby toys
Outdoor play equipment
We are unable to accept:
Broken, incomplete or heavily worn toys
Electronic toys which require a plug
Battery operated toys with excessive lights and sounds
Plastic character branded toys linked to short terms trends
Fast food or party bag type items
Baby swings, seats, bouncers and walkers
Items that do not meet current safety standards
If you have something you’d like to donate we’d love to hear from you - please get in touch and check it is suitable before you bring it along. Thank you!
Craft donations
We LOVE crafting at our Stay & Play sessions, so if you have any of the following that you could donate we’d be very happy to accept it:
Card / paper / tissue / felt / foam (sheets or scraps)
Glue sticks / PVA
Paper plates
Stickers
Pom poms / googly eyes / lolly sticks
Yarn / knitting wool
Sensory rice
Paper punches
Paintsticks
Unused colouring sheets from colouring books
At the moment we do not need crayons / pencils / chalk
Supplies can be dropped off at any of our Stay & Play sessions, or in our DropBox located outside the hall (please contact us for the code).
